Join a snowmobile
club
Join a snowmobile club, and get involved. In
many discussions and conversations I had with snowmobilers from
Quebec City to Novi Michigan this year, the topic of "Who's
gonna take over?" often came up.
There's still alot
of grizzled old guys involved with the snowmobiling clubs,
and their wisdom in all matters is priceless, but what will we do
when they're gone? They have been working as volounteers for years,
dealing with government officials, local land owners, and snowmobile
organizations. Their experience and knowledge is irreplaceable.
We need to encourage the younger riders to attend the committee meetings
at the local club house, and realize that there is more to snowmobiling
than having your day on the trails. It is a complex sport that relies
on thousands of volounteers to keep it rolling. The youth have to
step up to the plate.
So, start with hot
dogs and beer over a fire somewhere. The youth like beer! Hahaha.
Invite the younger guys and gals to come out and cut brush or instal
a new culvert, or build a small bridge over a wet spot. They can get
their whole family out into the bush and work. Then when the winter
comes and they ride through that bit of trail, they will take pride
in it and feel a sense of ownership. The new friends they make while
volounteering with the club, will keep the attraction going.
Families working together
towards a common goal is a rare thing now-a-days, and a good thing.
Imagine being out in the woods with a chain saw on your atv with your
teenagers, working side by side on a cool project, out in the fresh
air. This is good family fun, and a time for bonding. It sure beats
the hell out of working out in a gym somewhere, or worse yet, sitting
on the couch playing some lame video game.

November 8 2010 Update from Jodie: Hey Zen! I got you call last night on my way home from deer camp! Bow season is in full swing and thee deer are in rutt! ...I unfortunately did not get mine yet. Anyway, thanks for the message I will ship his calendar (to the winner (of the Zen Talk draw at Novi) out to him today! We did not go to the Novi show, it is one of a few shows they have banned us from :) Our next show will be in Eagle River Wi in Jan. so look for us there!
We are however gearing up to start shooting for the 2012 calendar and I'm excited to have the opportunity to work with 12 new ladies from across he U.S. and Canada! We have some new ideas for this coming year! I can't wait to see the response we get from this one! Take care and let's talk soon!

- Wausau Wisconsin; Hey Zen - here\s my latest news. We spent
the weekend meeting the folks in Wausau - This may be a smaller
venue, but after meeting Daniel from Snosled Productions,
producer of Braap Videos, we will now become a dealer representing
and selling videos in our booth, we will also be running Sledneck
and Thunderstruck vids as well. We invite all snowmobilers
come and get their new video's and have them signed at the grassdrags
and watercoss event at |Epping New Hampshire by the girls of
Axxxtionsports, Koa Marie, and Valerie Cormier as well as
the 2010 Axxxtionsports calendar! Makes a great Christmas gift for

Sept 21 2009 - - Wautomoa WI - - Good morning! Mondays....ugh! It's a slow start for me today :) Snowmobile shows, birthday parties... busy weekend for me. Now it's back to work. Here's the info on the Outlaws Grass Drags, Sept. 19th at the Lake of The Woods Campground in Wautomoa WI.
There was between 2000-3000 people who showed to this event
and some from as far away as Appleton Wi. The Marquette
County Snowmobile Association made us feel so welcomed! Doug and
Natalie Sessler went out of their way to make sure we had everything
we needed. What a great bunch of people!
I'm glad we had the opportunity to come to their show. We donated
a couple calendars, signed by most of the models and both posters
as well, which were used in a raffle and from what I hear, did very
well. All the proceeds from this event help maintain the Marquette
Co trails, keeping them groomed and safe for the riders! There
couldn't be a better cause!

great people, and had a blast! This was their 5th annual show and
by the looks of things, it's just getting bigger and better! I'm
looking forward to next year!

Girls caused quite a stir at the 2009 Hay Days Grass Drags in Lake
Forest Minnesota on the weekend, as they signed autographs and had
their photos taken with fans. " At times, we had dozens of
snowmobilers surrounding our booth, lined up four and five deep
to meet the models, some of which are Playboy featured models. I
really underestimated the demand this time, said Jodie Brice, a
model in her own right. "They just kept coming and coming!
Our girls got cramps in their hands from signing the calendars!
It was fantastic!" she said on Tuesday from her Wakeshau Wisconsin

Zen, Although we've never sledded out west, we want
to, but being in southern wisc. we load em up and head to north
western wisconsin or the UP of michigan, it's about a 4 hour trip
for us and usually we rough it, we have several cabins we go to,
(friends of ours), that let us use them....no running water, we
sled pack our gear in, unroll sleeping bags, bust the wood out of
snow bank and get the cabin heated up before we head out for a few
hours, when we get back, the cabin is warm, usually the only problem
is, is keeping the beverages from freezing on the porch....the porcupine
mountains in the UP, the run to lake superior from hurley and the
amazing trails near hayward is where we hang out in, I can't tell
you how many miles there are but you would have a full day in just
few loops we do, never seeing the same trail twice.

We end up going with friends, family and we can
put on around 150 miles just cruising a day....sometimes more sometimes
less, all in all the trails are in pretty good shape and there are
enough fuel , food stops to make the roughest trails fairly comfortable.
The shot of me was the Lake Supeior run, the trail
ends at the ice pack on lake superior, the other of Dan and me was
on trail near Hayward, and I'm not sure if I sent you the one of
Beau, where he got off the trail and realized he was gonna get stuck
so he kept on the throttle.. He just couldn't maintain keeping his
momentem and buried his sled past the windshield.. Uhmm, that was
a couple hours to dig out!
