Rabaska Outfitters
This is the Gate that welcomes all visitors on the
trail at Ferme Neuve, 20 minutes east of Mont Laurier Quebec.
This is a bridge over a beautiful river about 15 kms from Rabaska.
The bridge only accommodates one vehicle at a time.
This is the group of cabins closest to the main lodge.
My cabin was at the end of the point, closest to the water. The view
was great.
The river heads from Rabaska out to the Baskatong reservoir, a huge
body of water.
This is the main lodge at Rabaska. It contains the dining room and
bar.
The lodge is decorated with taxidermy, and is filled with comfortable
lounge furniture.
I think this is a Pine Martin. Whatever he is, he looks happy.

Outside the lodge, there is a phone booth for your convenience, inside
there is cel phone access, and Internet wi-fi.
After having a great meal, I returned to my cabin and met Ulyse, shoveling
the walk.
The cabin is totally renovated, and clean. The wood stove made things
very comfortable.
All the furniture including the be, is brand new. This is a house
keeping cabin.
All the bathroom fittings are new and clean.
Right outside the door, the frozen river looks like a postcard, pure
wilderness.
I got the sled off the trailer and snooped around on the local trails
for a few hours, but as soon as the light started to go, I headed
home. The signs will all be up in a few weeks, and things will be
ready for your visit. I would have gone further if my host had of
been there, but Martin was out on a buying trip when I got in. He
will take me to Devil's mountain.
The signage leading you from Mont Laurier to Rabaska is clear and
helpful. I had no trouble with the directions Dom and Martin gave
me over the phone.
I walked over to the lodge in the evening to have coffee and visit
with other guests by the roaring fireplace. This was very enjoyable
after a long day.
This is the sunset view from my deck. I call this extreme beauty.
